During the Great Depression the rich who initiated the crash were less affected than the lower classes because of their stockpiled wealth. The upper classes “were out buildin' other worlds” ones that don’t include the poorer people and their needs while the lower classes wherein their own larger community. the richer people had problems too in the stock market and that source of income is completely removed and some of the new money people relying on the stock market were out of their main source of income. These people who were relying on the stock market also could have been buying on margin and that would compleatly distroy their fortune as they had to pay back the loan and they were out of income and leaving them “in ruins”.
