Many U.S. Solders fought in WWI and after the war they were promised compensation. The compensation that these Solders were owed was 1,000 dollars due to be payed in 1945 but due to the current financial situation of he us at the time the solders demanded that their compensation be payed immediately. these WWI veterans marched on Dc and the capital to state their demands. when they arrived at the capital they were fired on and the government ordered them off of government property and were paid. These veterans were mad βAnd [the government] don't even know [their] name[s]β and
